WHO WE ARE
The number of students being served in all three Chapters of the Buddy Backpack Program for Harnett County has grown to over 800 students. A total of 800 students are projected to be served at a cost of $5.25 per child per weekend times 35 weekends for a total of $147,000. We look forward to the funding that we have enjoyed in the past from across the county and working with new business and organizations to continue providing food to the children across the county that wouldn’t have food on the weekends.

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. Child hunger is something that we take very seriously, and our volunteers work to help families supplement weekend meals. One Bag At A Time
At Buddy Backpacks of Harnett County, we are dedicated to continuing the legacy of Bob Doberstein in meeting critical nutrition needs for Harnett County children. As food insecurity grows in our community, our demand increases. Through donations by local churches, civic and social clubs and private donations, we are able to serve all who children who seek assistance. We are always striving for the opportunity to do more and reach more children, and invite you to learn more about our program and lend your support.
